Summary:
This internship is designed for sales-oriented candidates interested in sales or management. It’s a structured, paid 10-12 week introductory course that provides a working knowledge of the electrical distribution field. Interns will be exposed to various aspects of the business through mentoring and on-the-job training. This includes warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, counter sales, sales and interpersonal skills, customer relations, and CED business philosophy. Interns will also have the opportunity to work on special projects such as market sales or customer analysis, as well as projects custom-designed by the management team and the intern.
Reports to: Profit Center Manager
Essential Job Functions:
• Learning all aspects of the CED business.
• Communicating – both written and spoken – in English.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Current, valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Authorization to work in the United States (without requiring work authorization sponsorship by CED now or in the future)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong negotiation skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software
• Detail oriented
• Ability to solve problems
• Must be a self-starter who can handle a heavy volume of work and be able to handle multiple tasks at the same time
Working Conditions:
Conditions will vary based on the current segment of training and include warehouse, office, and external environments. Some segments may include lifting, sorting, standing, and possible extreme heat/cold conditions. Office segments may include sitting for extended periods.

Compensation:
The compensation range for this position is $20 to $20 hourly.
