This is an internship opportunity with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). The internship is designed to help student athletes explore their calling and career path while exposing them to different facets of ministry through FCA.

About the Internship:

• Focus: Developing student athletes’ understanding of their calling and career through ministry experience.
• Nature: A learning and developmental ministry experience offered during a summer or semester.
• Status: Collegiate volunteers, not employees.
• Compensation: Interns do not receive hourly wages or compensation based on production. They may receive a nominal stipend to cover living expenses during the internship.
• Variability: Internship experiences differ based on location.
• Primary Goal: To develop the intern’s understanding of their individual calling to ministry through training and experience.

Ministerial Duties:

These responsibilities are central to FCA’s mission, and the intern plays a vital role in the ministry. All functions and responsibilities must be carried out with a heart dedicated to serving God as a form of worship.

• Christian Community Statement: Agree with and abide by FCA’s Christian Community Statement.
• Spiritual Rhythm: Follow a spiritual routine that includes daily prayer and Bible study to seek God’s will for FCA.
• Spiritual Leadership: Lead, conduct, and provide spiritual leadership to staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship, and by setting a Christ-like example, equipping them to serve others.
• Church Involvement: Connect to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement.
• Conduct: Maintain behavior that upholds biblical standards of conduct according to FCA’s Christian beliefs (as defined in FCA’s Christian Community Statement) at all times.
