Job Description: Intern – Denver Office

Position Summary:

This internship will support Bayview Asset Management (“BAM”) activities in the Denver office. The intern will be an integral part of the BAM team, assisting with mortgage-related analytics, collateral management, data logic and integrity reviews, and handling ad-hoc inquiries. The role will also involve liaison and contribution between internal departments.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in ongoing projects and data flow.
• Review, evaluate, and analyze components of the internal collateral dataset.
• Prepare and analyze loan tape information across various data platforms and vendors.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Perform data extraction using SQL databases.
• Lead initiatives to improve and enhance current processes for greater efficiency.
• Support transaction management functions.
• Demonstrate strong project management skills.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Prior internship or work experience in a related field is a plus.
• Rising Junior OR Senior pursuing a BA/BS or higher degree in Math, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required.
• Located in or willing to relocate to Denver, CO (remote work during the school year will be considered).
• Availability to work 20 hours per week during the school year is required.
• Potential for full-time employment after graduation.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Proficiency in SQL and Python is required.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills are required.
• Familiarity with Collateral Analysis System (CAS) is a plus but not required.

Location and Compensation:

The internship is based in Bayview’s Denver office (remote work during the school year will be considered). The hourly rate is $20-25, potentially varying based on experience, market conditions, and qualifications.
