Job Description: Studio Safety Intern (Summer 2025)

This internship is within Netflix Studios Albuquerque (NSABQ)’s Studio Safety Program. The program is responsible for managing safety programs across Netflix studio spaces in the United States, ensuring the safety and compliance of infrastructure and employees. The team works to create a safe and healthy work environment by minimizing risks, providing safety resources and training, and collaborating with internal departments (Facilities, Stage Management, Security) and external entities (fire departments, regulatory bodies). The goal is to establish a premier studio safety program.

Intern Responsibilities:

The intern will assist the Studio Safety Manager and Fire & Life Safety Specialist in:

• Implementing and maintaining safety programs.
• Conducting safety audits and inspections to identify hazards.
• Promoting a safety culture within the organization.
• Participating in employee safety training.
• Maintaining safety records and documentation.
• Collaborating with various departments to improve safety.
• Participating in the implementation of capital projects (e.g., fall protection).
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Fire Science, or a related field.
• Strong interest in workplace safety and compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and standards (a plus).
• First Aid/CPR certification (strongly preferred).

Internship Details:

• Paid internship (minimum 10 weeks).
• Start date in June 2025.
• Located in Netflix Studios Albuquerque (New Mexico).
• Personalized experience mimicking real-world work.
• Market range for compensation: $20/hour – $40/hour (total compensation).
