Job Description: 2025 Summer Internship

PulteGroup offers a 12-week summer internship program (May 19, 2025 – August 8, 2025) providing a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the homebuilding industry. The program aims to give interns a holistic understanding of the business, allowing them to build a strong foundation for their long-term career goals.

Program Components:

Rotational Shadowing: Interns will participate in rotational shadowing across various functions and departments within the homebuilding process.
Hands-on Project Work: Daily work involves contributing to meaningful projects within a designated function under the guidance of experienced professionals.
Centralized Training: The company invests in intern development through structured training and development opportunities throughout the summer.
Capstone Presentation: Interns conclude their experience with a capstone presentation showcasing their work and ideas to local Division leadership.

Specific Responsibilities (Finance Focus):

The Finance internship provides an opportunity to gain critical reporting literacy essential to the success of the homebuilding business. Interns will:

• Learn about land acquisition and financial analytics.
• Develop advisory skills for business decisions and opportunities.
• Work as a “financial bridge” connecting various departments (sales, field construction).
• Contribute to fiscal planning and execution.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Undergraduate or graduate student status (minimum sophomore status preferred).
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 preferred.
• Strong interest in homebuilding, real estate, or construction.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Teams.
• Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and adaptability.
• A bias for action and a desire to make a meaningful difference.
• Extracurricular activities (student organizations, leadership roles, etc.) are a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

$20/hour (pay varies by position and location).
• Eligibility to participate in the company’s 401(k) plan.

Schedule and Format:

• 40 hours per week.
• Primarily in-person at one of 29 Division Offices or development communities.
• Schedule may be adjusted based on individual student needs.
