Job Description: Wealth Management Intern

This internship provides hands-on experience in the inner workings of a wealth management firm with a strong tax focus. The role is fast-paced and involves on-site work in their Brentwood, TN office (this is not a remote or hybrid position). Training covers various aspects of wealth planning and management, including specific firm software.

Responsibilities:

Assist on special projects: Both internal projects and client-specific initiatives.
Meeting preparation: Support the team in preparing for client meetings.
Client meeting attendance: Attend meetings in a support role.
Financial planning assistance: Participate in cash flow planning, estate planning, cash management, balance sheet planning, and operational business planning.
Coaching and feedback: Actively accept and apply coaching and feedback.
Client services and administrative support: Provide assistance to these teams as needed.
Software conversion projects: Contribute to projects involving software conversions.
Administrative tasks: Handle various administrative duties.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Actively pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree; rising junior or first-semester senior. All business majors are considered, with accounting, finance, economics, financial planning, or taxation preferred. A significant interest in individual taxation and wealth management is required.
Desired Qualifications/Skills: Strong critical thinking skills, self-motivation, high proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, excellent communication and writing skills, organization, attention to detail, ability to multitask and manage time effectively, high ethical standards, ability to maintain confidentiality, teamwork skills, and collaborative spirit.
