Job Description: 2025 Summer Internship – Procurement
PulteGroup offers internships providing hands-on experience and a strong foundation for long-term career goals within the homebuilding industry. Interns will gain a holistic understanding of the industry through rotational shadowing across various functions and departments. The internships are primarily in-person, located in one of their 29 Division Offices or up-and-coming development communities.
Specific Responsibilities for Procurement Interns:
• Collaboration and Networking: Work with various roles and departments, fostering connections and breaking down silos. Collaborate with vendors, understanding their crucial role in operations.
• Learning and Shadowing: Shadow experienced professionals to learn about bid submittals, negotiation, and cost-saving strategies.
General Internship Details:
• Duration: 12 weeks (May 19, 2025 – August 8, 2025), with potential schedule adjustments.
• Hours: 40 hours per week, schedule dependent on the specific internship role.
• Compensation: $20/hour (May vary based on position and location).
• Benefits: Eligibility for the company’s 401(k) plan.
• Format: Primarily in-person, with opportunities for shadowing across various departments within the homebuilding process. A capstone presentation or final project may be included.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
• Enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student (minimum sophomore status preferred), or graduated the semester before the internship starts.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 preferred.
• Desired Skills and Attributes: Curious, coachable, personable, patient, action-oriented, accountable, motivated, enthusiastic, strong verbal and written communication skills, tech-savvy (especially Excel and Microsoft Teams), strong organizational skills, self-motivation, learning agility, bias for action, and a strong interest in the homebuilding, real estate, or construction industry. Extracurricular activities are a plus.
