Job Description: Finance Leadership Development Program (FLDP) and Finance Internship:

Thermo Fisher Scientific offers a two-year Finance Leadership Development Program (FLDP) as an accelerated opportunity to develop skills for a finance leadership career. The program is managed by a dedicated Program Manager and overseen by the CFO and Finance Leadership Team. Participants will have multiple assignments providing strategic direction in various finance areas, exposing them to core processes, technologies, and leaders. They will gain experience across functional areas, business units, products/services, and regions. Additional learning includes formal development sessions, executive mentorship, utilization of the Practical Process Improvement (PPI) methodology, and networking with FLDP alumni.

The company also offers a 10-12 week Finance Internship for business students, serving as a pipeline for the FLDP. Interns are assigned projects based on their skills and business needs, with projects determined by senior leadership and having strategic and/or operational importance.

Internship specifics:

Eligibility: Undergraduate students (rising seniors) pursuing a business-related degree graduating between December 2025 and June 2026. 0 years of work experience required; previous internships preferred.
Qualifications: Consistent record of success demonstrating integrity, innovation, involvement, and intensity. Ability to champion change, achieve results, and navigate ambiguity. Excellent interpersonal communication and emotional intelligence.
Locations: Hillsboro, OR; Greenville & Wilmington, NC; Carlsbad, CA; Boston metro; Pittsburgh & Center Valley, PA; other possible locations.
Project Areas: Financial Planning & Analysis; Internal Audit; Cost Accounting (Manufacturing); Commercial Finance; Strategic Pricing; General Accounting; Division Finance; Corporate Development Finance; Data and Analytics.
Start Date: May 12th or June 16th, 2025 (10-12 weeks).
Compensation: hourly rate between $21.50 – $28.75, dependent on location (aligned with cost-of-living). Relocation stipend of $5,000 offered if the student lives 50+ miles from the internship location.
