Job Description: Rotational Finance Internship
This year-round rotational internship program is designed for sophomores, juniors, and seniors pursuing a Finance or Accounting degree at an accredited U.S. college or university. The program requires full-time work during the summer and part-time (15-20 hours/week) during the school year, with flexible hours accommodated during the academic year. The internship is located at their Grand Rapids, MI office and requires regular on-site work.
Responsibilities: Interns will rotate through various finance and accounting departments, gaining hands-on experience in:
• General Accounting: Supporting basic accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries.
• Project Controlling: Supporting project forecasting and project variance analysis.
• Operations Finance: Contributing to monthly financial reporting and cost center review & analysis. Identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
• Sales Controlling: Assisting with order intake forecasting and budgeting.
• FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis): Supporting month-end close activities and special projects.
In addition to departmental rotations, interns will:
• Attend weekly sessions with Dematic leaders for professional development and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in a team-based innovation challenge to solve real-world problems.
• Develop and strengthen skills in relationship management, communication, and project analysis.
• Gain technical accounting and finance expertise.
Qualifications:
• Full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university.
• Pursuing a degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Sophomore, junior, or entering senior year.
• Year-round commitment to the internship (full-time summer, part-time school year).
• Ability to travel to and work on-site in Grand Rapids, MI.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to participate in Future Talent Programming events.
Compensation and Benefits:
