Mechanical Engineering Development Program (ME EDP 2027) | Emerson

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Emerson, located in Elyria, OH. This development program provides recent university graduates with an opportunity to have a significant impact on the Professional Tools business, building critical engineering skills through structured experiences. What You’ll Actually Do
• Technology Application: Apply the latest technologies, equipment, and research facilities to bring new engineering ideas and concepts to life.
• Development and Research: Conduct product development, sustainability initiatives, and research to solve engineering challenges and meet business objectives.
• New Product Design: Develop new products, including plumbing and electrical tools, accessories, and solutions for new market applications, tailored to customer-specific needs.
• Rotational Learning: Participate in structured rotational assignments covering Manufacturing Engineering, New Product Development, Sustaining Engineering, and Continuous Improvement.
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Engage in collaborative work with employees and management, receive mentorship, and gain multi-functional experience across various elements of the development process.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. This is an early-career role designed for recent university graduates.
• Experience: Legally eligible to work in the United States. Comfortable with up to 10% travel and able to relocate for positions as required.
• Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong leadership and technical capabilities, and a demonstrated ability to persist in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles.
• Bonus: A GPA of 3.25 or above is preferred. Engineering co-op or internship experience is a preferred qualification, as is being highly motivated and taking initiative.
