What You’ll Actually Do
• Tax Preparation: Accurately prepare tax returns and facilitate the filing of tax extensions.
• Information Organization: Systematically organize diverse tax information to ensure all necessary documentation is complete and easily accessible.
• Client Assistance: Provide support in responding to tax notices and aid the team during tax examinations.
• Software Proficiency: Develop and maintain a current working knowledge of the specific tax preparation software utilized within the office environment.
• Administrative Support: Execute various administrative tasks as required to ensure smooth team operations and support overall departmental needs.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Must be a college junior or in the year prior to graduation (dependent on a 4- or 5-year program) with at least one completed tax class. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 and be authorized to work in the US.
• Experience: Availability to work a minimum of 25 hours each week, including flexibility to work weekends as needed.
• Skills: Possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; demonstrate a detail-oriented approach to tasks; and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Bonus: Active participation in the VITA Program.
