Summer 2027 Tax Internship | NKSFB

The Tone:
This is an internship at NKSFB, a large business management firm with over 650 employees across six offices in the Los Angeles and New York City area. The company works with top artists, athletes, executives, and other high achievers, providing sophisticated concierge-style services for their lifestyle management needs. This role offers a unique opportunity for individuals curious about accounting and wealth management in the entertainment industry to gain practical experience. Interns will kickstart their careers by learning about various tax services and the business management landscape from a unique perspective.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare Returns: Prepare individual, partnership, and corporate returns, including quarterly estimates, extensions, and projections from start to finish.
• Conduct Research: Research federal and state tax issues, delving into questions faced by tax teams and presenting findings back to the group.
• Build Foundations: Gather, input, and reconcile financial data, meticulously tying each entry back to supporting records to form the accurate foundation of every return.
• Assemble Workpapers: Assemble review-ready workpapers, understanding what reviewers look for and receiving direct feedback on your compiled work.
• Assist with Notices: Assist with responses to the IRS and state and local authorities for notices and information requests, observing firsthand how such issues are resolved.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level, pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related business discipline, with an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Experience: Completion of introductory Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting coursework, and ability to participate in the internship program for a minimum of 8+ weeks (June 2027 – August 2027).
• Skills: Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; self-motivated with excellent organization skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail and ability to multi-task; exceptional interpersonal skills; friendly and professional demeanor; ability to work well with a team.
• Bonus: On track to meet CPA licensing educational requirements upon graduation; completion of tax coursework and Intermediate Accounting coursework.
