Associate Vice President – SaT – CHS – SaT – TCF – Financial Diligence | Ernst and Young

This role is crucial for assisting clients, particularly within the Consumer Products and Healthcare sectors, by providing financial diligence services to address strategic, financial, operational, and commercial questions. It focuses on helping clients make informed decisions around capital allocation, managing risk, and achieving better returns.

• Team: CHS (Consumer Products and Healthcare sectors) within Strategy and Transactions (SaT), specifically in Transaction Diligence (TCF).
• Mission: Deliver financial diligence services to clients, helping them manage risk/return trade-offs and support better decision-making around financing and capital efficiency.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Delivery: Execute client service delivery, assuming near-independent responsibility for smaller clients and developing rapport with middle layers of client management.
• Risk Management: Ensure compliance with risk management strategies and plans, focusing on risk issues during client assignments and escalating them as needed.
• Knowledge Management: Support knowledge sharing efforts and improve processes to enable the work team to capture and leverage insights effectively.
• Opportunity Identification: Begin identifying new business opportunities for existing clients and communicate these to management.
• Internal Networking: Network internally within the firm to gain understanding of issues that may impact client engagements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Chartered Accountant with a strong academic background.
• Experience: 1-8 years of relevant post-qualification work experience, including due diligence experience as part of an M&A team (in industry or Big 3 CA firms), or experience in audit and assurance practice of Big 4 CA firms with some due diligence exposure, or industry experience in data analysis, MIS, and project handling.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills, good communication (written and oral, including report writing), ability to understand business competitive positioning, analyze financial information and projections, identify deal issues, assess their impact, and advise on solutions, and high team orientation with a strong ability to build client relationships.
