What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Transaction Management: Assist in accurately recording financial transactions in ledgers, preparing trial balances, and generating simple financial statements utilizing computer software programs.
• Account Reconciliation and Verification: Support the reconciliation of various accounts to their corresponding control accounts, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Expense and Asset Computation: Aid in performing scheduled computations related to accruals, property and equipment, and accurately calculating depreciation expense.
• Audit and Review Procedure Execution: Assist supervisors in carrying out assigned audit or review procedures as part of broader engagement activities.
• Tax Return Preparation Support: Provide assistance in the preparation of diverse tax returns, including payroll tax, sales or other local taxes, and specific personal income tax returns.
• General Accounting and Auditing Assistance: Perform other accounting, auditing, and tax duties as required for various client engagements and as assigned by supervisory personnel.
• Report and Workpaper Compilation: Help compile necessary workpapers and other accounting reports that are required for audit processes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an entry-level internship position. Candidates must possess a High School Diploma and have completed at least two years of study towards a bachelor’s degree, typically within an accounting program.
• Experience: The role requires the application of accounting knowledge gained through academic studies. Performance will be judged on the quality of work, the effective application of this knowledge, and the ability to manage tasks within specified time constraints.
• Skills: Strong foundational accounting knowledge; ability to follow instructions and apply learned concepts; capability to work efficiently to meet deadlines.
