2027 Wealth Management Development Program (Milwaukee, WI) | Associated Bank
The Tone:
This is a 12-month development program at Associated Bank, located in Milwaukee, WI, beginning on May 24, 2027. Associated Bank is a 5,094-person organization that serves over 120 communities across Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, and Missouri. This program builds a foundational career in wealth management, connecting participants with mentors and experienced colleagues to gain exposure to how clients plan for and achieve their financial goals.

• Mission: Build knowledge and experience in comprehensive wealth strategies to help clients plan for and achieve their financial goals.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Understand Environment: Learn and understand the Private Wealth environment, including financial planning, investment management, private banking, trust services, retirement services, and wealth strategy delivery.
• Gain Exposure: Rotate through multiple Private Wealth disciplines to gain broad exposure to wealth management products, services, and client solutions.
• Support Clients: Support real client work, including financial plan development, cash flow analysis, credit presentations, and investment research support.
• Collaborate with Experts: Collaborate with financial planners, portfolio managers, private bankers, trust professionals, credit specialists, and retirement plan consultants.
• Develop Professionally: Expand knowledge and expertise through ongoing specialized training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities, while building professional networks.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Financial Planning, Investments, or a related field. Entry-Level career.
• Experience: No prior professional experience is explicitly required for this entry-level program.
• Skills: Commitment to obtain applicable professional certification(s) and/or securities and insurance licenses aligned to career path (e.g., CFP®, CFA®, Series 7/66, Life, Health & LTCI) within 3-5 years.
• Bonus: Internship experience in Private Wealth, Financial Planning, Investments, Wealth Management, Banking, or a related financial services field; strong communication skills; demonstrated initiative, organization, and time management skills.
