Accounting Associate – CAAS Construction | CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen)

• Mission: This role supports clients in the construction industry by handling day-to-day accounting transactions, month-end processing, and quarterly/annual financial tasks.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Management: Gain ability to handle multiple clients, software, and chart of accounts daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Transaction Processing: Coordinate and process accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and payroll.
• Month-End Activities: Complete financial statements and coordinate account reconciliations (e.g., bank, credit card, prepaids, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, accruals).
• Periodic Compliance: Complete sales tax returns, Form 1099s, and other client-requested forms or items quarterly and annually.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a combination of related experience, education, and training can be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Experience: Preferred: Accounting and financial experience.
• Skills: Account reconciliation, financial statement preparation, accounts payable/receivable processing, payroll processing, tax form preparation (e.g., sales tax, 1099s).
