Electrical Engineering Development Program | BeamSphere

The Tone:
This is a rotational electrical engineering development program for early-career engineers, based in Louisville, KY, and commencing in January 2027. BeamSphere is dedicated to developing and improving new products across a broad range of home appliances, including Refrigeration, Cooking, Dishwashers, Air Conditioning, and Washers and Dryers. This program offers extensive hands-on experience in vital areas such as product development, manufacturing, and electrical design and testing. It is specifically designed to prepare members with the comprehensive technical and professional skills needed to grow a successful career in engineering.

The TL;DR

• Pay: $70000–$75000 yearly

What You’ll Actually Do
• Rotational Assignments: Engage in a three-year entry-level program, completing at least three technical rotational assignments in various engineering technology positions throughout the company.
• Product Development & Integration: Contribute to the development and improvement of new products in major appliance categories and integrate designs that meet customer needs, collaborating closely with manufacturing and product management.
• Core Engineering Practice: Gain hands-on experience and develop core engineering skills in electrical design, testing, PCB design, implementation, and managing small projects.
• Problem-Solving & Communication: Enhance technical problem-solving abilities through advanced engineering coursework, preparing formal reports, and delivering presentations to senior leadership.
• Advanced Education: Fulfill the program requirement of obtaining a company-paid Master’s Degree in Engineering by attending customized on-site classes through a local university partnership.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level Bachelor’s degree or better in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering degree, with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (out of 4.0).
• Experience: Completed two or more co-op or intern experiences prior to graduation.
• Skills: Solid analytical skills, a strong understanding of electrical schematics and symbols, and competence in using electronic tools such as a soldering iron and multimeter.
• Bonus: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, a desire and ability to continue learning, commitment to a Technical Engineering Program, and a strong work ethic.
