The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Mission: Lead small to medium cyber projects within a financial group, ensuring timely delivery, effective resource management, and risk mitigation to support MUFG’s operational integrity and strategic goals.
• Tech Stack: MS Project, Jira/Confluence, Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint Project Site, VISIO, MSP ticketing and Alert Management Systems.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead project execution: Take lead responsibility on small to medium projects and manage project changes from initiation to completion.
• Strategic planning & resource management: Drive planning across various organizational levels to ensure projects are on track, adequately resourced, and manage financial and resource forecasting.
• Stakeholder communication & governance: Establish project and program governance, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and ensure project transparency through regular reporting and updates.
• Risk & issue resolution: Proactively manage project dependencies, coordinate across teams to resolve issues, and mitigate identified risks.
• Documentation & vendor management: Facilitate the comprehensive documentation of business requirements and testing, and manage the establishment of vendor and third-party contracts.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager-level professional with a degree or equivalent work experience, demonstrating a thorough understanding of project management fundamentals. Experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
• Experience: Practical experience in Program Management, including hands-on project documentation (planning, test approach, RAID log). Must have an understanding of MSP ticketing and Alert Management Systems.
• Skills: Ability to independently manage small to medium projects, planning and process orientation, project management methodologies, proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools, SharePoint Project Site, VISIO, contract management, iterative problem-solving, and excellent organizational skills.
• Bonus: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, experience in the financial services industry, and the ability to independently manage large projects.
