• Mission: This person ensures accurate financial records by preparing general ledger entries and reconciliations, supporting key reporting processes.

What You’ll Actually Do
• General Ledger: Produce journal entries for the monthly GAAP close based on data from the investment manager and internal groups.
• Reporting Support: Provide support for the monthly GAAP and Stat reporting process and annual report preparation.
• Payment Processing: Assist with payments including invoices and investment transactions, adhering to policies and tracking required approvals.
• Audit Assistance: Provide support to both external and internal auditors to ensure the successful completion of internal reviews and controls.
• Project Analysis: Offer extensive project support for areas such as reinsurance, legal entity, regulatory, and cash transaction analysis.

The Must-Haves
• Background: BA/BS in Accounting or Finance, Entry-Level.
• Experience: Prior internship experience or 1-2 years of experience in the insurance/financial services industry.
• Skills: Attention to detail, communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Bonus: Interest in the insurance industry or financial services industry.
