Advisory Team Associate (Full-Time Cohort Program) | Focus Partners

The Tone:
This is a full-time cohort program at Focus Partners, located in various designated offices nationwide. Focus Partners is an organization that provides wealth, asset, and business management resources, bringing strength, innovation, and partnership to client relationships. The company supports clients at every stage of life by helping them manage their financial future through research-backed investment strategies and personalized wealth planning solutions. This role is a foundational opportunity designed to build the next generation of Associate Wealth Advisors through a structured development program.

• Pay: $65000 yearly
• Team: Local wealth management team, partnering with Wealth Advisors, Associate Wealth Advisors, and other colleagues
• Mission: To develop the next generation of Associate Wealth Advisors through a structured curriculum, applied learning, and dedicated coaching.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), CRM, firm’s technology platforms

What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Participation: Actively participate in the structured cohort program experience, including dedicated curriculum, coaching, applied learning, and readiness assessments.
• Applied Learning: Apply program learning through supervised client-service and financial-planning assignments to build practical experience.
• Financial Planning Support: Gather and analyze client financial information to draft comprehensive financial plans and planning analyses for advisor review.
• Client Meeting Preparation: Assist with client meeting preparation, including organizing agendas, planning materials, meeting notes, and follow-up activities.
• Record Management: Maintain accurate client records and assigned responsibilities within the CRM, adhering to regulatory, compliance, privacy, and documentation standards.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level, for graduating students pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in financial planning, finance, accounting, business, wealth management, economics, or another related field.
• Experience: Expected graduation date between December 2026 and Spring 2027, with the ability to obtain the Series 65, or another required registration, within the program’s established timeframe.
• Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), excellent analytical skills, strong interpersonal communication, attention to detail, and a team-oriented approach.
• Bonus: Enrollment in or graduation from a CFP Board Registered Program, or foundational exposure to financial planning, investments, or wealth management through coursework or internships.
