Objective Partners is a well-established organization with a growing finance and accounting team. This direct hire role, located in East Brunswick, NJ, requires approximately four days onsite per week, offering a hybrid work model. What You’ll Actually Do
• Operational Support: Contribute to the seamless execution of day-to-day accounting activities and assist in the critical month-end closing processes.
• Financial Review: Methodically review diverse financial data, account reconciliations, and various reports to ensure their accuracy and integrity.
• Issue Resolution: Actively identify discrepancies within financial records and collaborate with the team to assist in effectively resolving accounting issues.
• Reporting & Analysis: Provide essential support for financial reporting initiatives and conduct general accounting analysis to aid decision-making.
• Record Management: Maintain accurate, organized, and complete financial records, ensuring all documentation adheres to professional standards.
• Team Collaboration: Partner proactively with accounting and finance team members on ongoing initiatives, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Project Contribution: Assist with various ad hoc financial and analytical projects as needed, contributing to broader team objectives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. This role is designed for an early-career professional seeking to deepen their accounting foundation.
• Experience: Approximately 1–2 years of accounting experience is essential. The ideal candidate will have gained experience that prepared them to transition into a larger organizational setting.
• Skills: Proficiency in Excel is critical, alongside strong analytical ability and meticulous attention to detail. The role requires the capability to review complex financial information, identify discrepancies, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborative team work.
• Bonus: Public accounting or Big 4 experience is highly preferred, as is prior experience within a mid-to-large organization. Candidates who are currently pursuing a CPA designation and demonstrate a strong academic background will also be favorably considered.
