Bi-Lingual Staff Accountant | Usalco

The Tone:
This is a Staff Accountant role at Usalco, LLC, a rapidly growing national leader in the potable and industrial water/wastewater treatment chemistry industry. This position supports the Finance & Accounting leadership with analyses and insights crucial for driving business forward. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. They will work closely with the finance team to support daily accounting operations and contribute to the overall financial health of the company.

• Mission: Maintain accurate financial records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with accounting standards to support the company’s overall financial health.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reconciliations: Complete monthly financial reconciliations with guidance from the Senior Accountant and Controller to ensure accuracy.
• Payroll Management: Process employee payroll, including verifying timesheet data and calculating wages, deductions, bonuses, and taxes in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Transactional Support: Provide assistance with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processing as needed to support daily financial operations.
• Audit & Tax Support: Assist with year-end and other audits, as well as tax and regulatory filings as directed by the Tax Accountant.
• Calendar Execution: Execute and track activities according to the corporate accounting calendar to ensure timely financial operations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a similar discipline, with strong general knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience: 1-2+ years of progressive accounting or audit experience obtained in public accounting or industry settings.
• Skills: Fluent bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English, coupled with excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Bonus: Possessing a CPA certification or actively pursuing one is considered a plus.
