Principal Reporting & Prism Consultant, State & Local Government | Workday

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Workday, located in the US with a flexible work model that includes up to 25% travel. Workday builds cloud-based software and an AI platform for managing people, money, and agents. This position is vital for implementing reporting and analytic solutions for State and Local Government clients, helping them maximize the Workday platform. The role is focused on guiding customers through successful deployments and shaping the future of work through effective data management.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead: Project manage reporting workstream(s), hitting delivery dates and driving results for customer success.
• Discover: Conduct discovery sessions to develop and document a thorough understanding of customers’ reporting needs.
• Design: Implement reports to address complex customer requirements using Workday’s platform.
• Support: Assist customers in testing reporting solutions and conduct knowledge transfer sessions to ensure post-production success.
• Improve: Participate in internal initiatives and process improvement efforts within the team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Career level for a Principal Technical Consultant (P5) in Human Resource, Payroll, or Financials domain.
• Experience: 6+ years with Workday Reporting and Prism, 8+ years with integration development or report building, and 8+ years with technical consulting, requirements gathering, or solution design.
• Skills: Advanced abilities to design, develop, and deploy analytic and reporting solutions; excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication; comprehensive Workday product knowledge; deep technical understanding of systems.
• Bonus: Experience working within or with the State and Local Government industry, advanced understanding of payroll reporting, experience taking a leadership role in a software implementation, or active Workday Implementer Certification.
