This is a full-time Staff Accountant role at Reliable Safety & Flow Corporation, located in Oak Brook, IL. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity and compliance of financial reporting, directly supporting business leaders by ensuring all financial statements adhere to US GAAP. • Mission: Own the integrity of financial statements, ensuring full compliance with US GAAP standards.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reconcile: Prepare and meticulously maintain account reconciliations and related data in accordance with company policy and US GAAP, collaborating with other functions to ensure reconciling items are resolved quickly.
• Journalize: Prepare journal entries with thorough supporting documentation for various financial transactions.
• Analyze: Analyze financial statements and associated information specific to assigned areas, actively investigating discrepancies and variances to ensure accuracy.
• Support: Support the critical month-end close process to meet reporting deadlines.
• Improve: Identify and implement process improvements aimed at driving both accuracy and efficiency within accounting operations.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. This is an early career opportunity for an entry-level professional.
• Experience: 0-2 years of overall experience, with a minimum of 1-2 years working with a large ERP solution (D365 preferred).
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft applications; strong problem-solving and analytical abilities; ability to multitask effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment; keen attention to detail and a strong focus on deadlines and goals.
• Bonus: CPA certification; experience with data analysis tools such as Power BI.
