What You’ll Actually Do
• Oversee monthly close procedures: Take responsibility for preparing all necessary journal entries and financial accruals, playing a key role in the timely and accurate completion of the monthly financial close process.
• Ensure financial accuracy and compliance: Conduct thorough reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts, meticulously maintaining comprehensive supporting documentation to ensure data integrity and audit readiness.
• Manage daily transactional processing: Efficiently process all accounts payable invoices, employee expense reports, and corporate card transactions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
• Maintain critical financial schedules: Accurately maintain and update prepaid expense, accrual, and fixed asset schedules, which are vital for proper financial statement presentation.
• Support strategic accounting functions and improvements: Provide essential support for revenue and deferred revenue schedules, contribute to recurring financial reports, assist with flux analysis, and participate in annual audit preparations. Additionally, actively help improve close processes, system workflows, and documentation as the company experiences significant growth and scales its operations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. A foundational understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), the mechanics of journal entries, and the process of account reconciliation is essential for this role.
• Experience: A minimum of one year of direct accounting experience is required. This includes practical experience working within an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system or a dedicated accounting system, with specific mention of platforms such as NetSuite being highly relevant.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel is a critical skill for managing data, preparing schedules, and performing analyses.
