Senior Accounting Associate | Aprio

What You’ll Actually Do
• Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Ensure Balance Sheet reconciliations are prepared accurately and in a timely manner, contributing to overall financial integrity.
• Fixed Asset and Prepaid Management: Register and manage fixed assets and prepaids within Workday modules, including running monthly amortization and depreciation processes.
• Journal Entry and Transaction Management: Prepare various journal entries for accruals, recurring transactions, and one-time financial events, along with assisting in daily cash recording and ad hoc banking tasks.
• Financial Analysis and Reporting: Investigate and resolve variance analysis issues, prepare Revenue Journals, and support critical audit requirements and seasonal tasks such as 1099 reporting.
• Process Improvement and Team Support: Recommend and implement process enhancements to improve accuracy and timeliness of financial operations, while also providing guidance to junior associates, assisting in training, and offering support to the manager.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or any finance-related field.
• Experience: 2-4 years of relevant experience in accounting or financial analysis, with experience using ERP systems (Workday preferred).
• Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, modeling) and PowerPoint; excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Bonus: A valid CPA license; experience in a US shared services or global business services environment; amenability to work mid-shift (3 pm to 12 am PHT) and/or night shift (8 pm to 5 am PHT).
