R&D Nutrition and Innovation Engineer Intern (6 Months) | Lactalis

The Tone:
This is a 6-month full-time internship at Lactalis, located in Retiers, France, near Rennes. Lactalis is the world’s leading dairy products group, known for its unique family history and committed teams. This role contributes to research and knowledge dissemination projects within the R&D department, focusing on nutritional and innovation challenges related to food and health. The intern will bring value to product innovation and contribute to scientific work and nutritional communication, with the internship starting in January 2027.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Market & Scientific Exploration: Explore new Nutrition-Health territories by conducting scientific and market watch on emerging themes, analyzing trends, and identifying new opportunities for the Group.
• Scientific Literature Analysis: Lead an in-depth review of scientific literature on dairy lipids, evaluating potential nutritional benefits and identifying key research and innovation opportunities.
• Knowledge Communication: Design accessible and engaging educational content and internal communication tools to develop and disseminate scientific knowledge and emerging Nutrition & Health topics within the company.
• Innovation Project Contribution: Contribute to the conception and execution of product innovation projects by providing scientific insights and recommendations to add value and differentiation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Master’s Degree (Bac+5 Engineer or University) in Nutrition, Food Sciences, or an equivalent domain. This is an Entry-Level role.
• Experience: Strong interest in scientific communication, popularization, and innovation, with comfort in presenting work to various stakeholders.
• Skills: Strong scientific curiosity, proficiency in written and oral English, and comfortable with PowerPoint and visual creation tools.
