Environmental, Health & Safety Leadership Program (2027) | Owens Corning

The Tone:
This is a 24-month structured development program at Owens Corning, located at various manufacturing sites across the US. Owens Corning is a branded building products leader that provides roofing, insulation, and doors for residential markets in North America and Europe. This program is designed to prepare and accelerate candidates for Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) leadership and specialist roles within the company’s manufacturing facilities. Participants will receive early exposure to leadership training and mentorship, fostering an inclusive environment where all employees contribute to a global workplace.

The TL;DR

• Location: In-person at various manufacturing sites in the US.

• Mission: This person will prepare for and fill Environmental Health & Safety leadership and specialist roles within North American manufacturing facilities.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Management Systems: Develop a deep understanding and implement EHS management systems.
• Policy and Procedure: Create and implement EHS procedures and policies effectively.
• Training and Development: Design, develop, and deliver EHS training programs.
• Regulatory Compliance: Navigate and ensure adherence to regulatory processes.
• Project Leadership: Lead EHS projects, including planning and execution.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level professional with a preferred bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety management, Chemical engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Experience: Previous relevant internships or co-ops in a manufacturing setting.
• Skills: Analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to lead projects and develop project plans, demonstrated leadership in professional, service, or social organizations, and willingness and flexibility to relocate during or upon completion of the program.
