The Tone:
This is a full-time rotational Engineering Development Program at Honda, with opportunities in Alabama, Indiana, and Ohio. Participants will gain experience across multiple areas of Honda’s business, helping them to develop into individuals with the skills, courage, persistence, and dreams needed to reach Honda’s future-focused goals and drive innovation.

• Mission: To accelerate the development of early-career engineers, enabling them to gain broad technical knowledge and business understanding while building a strong internal network.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Participate in Development: Engage in a structured one-year rotational program, following a customized development plan to foster early-career growth.
• Contribute to Projects: Gain hands-on engineering experience by contributing to meaningful projects across various company functions.
• Network Professionally: Build a company-wide professional network throughout Honda’s North American operations with experienced engineers and leaders.
• Present to Leadership: Present project work and experiences to Honda leadership, including executive leaders, showcasing insights and contributions.
• Understand Operations: Gain exposure to Honda’s manufacturing, development, and operations to understand the broader impact of engineering work.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level career position requiring a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET or ATMAE accredited program. This includes primary majors such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, and Welding Engineering, with additional engineering majors also considered due to the program covering multiple roles and functions.
• Experience: A requirement of less than two years of engineering work experience applies to all candidates.
• Skills: Candidates must possess strong technical foundations, an open mind, and a disciplined work ethic. EDP associates are expected to be willing to learn across functions, adapt to new environments, build relationships, and contribute to Honda’s manufacturing and business priorities.
• Bonus: Preference is given to candidates with at least 3 months of relevant co-op or internship experience.
