Senior Manager – Private Equity Fund Accounting | IQ-EQ

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at IQ-EQ, operating with a hybrid work schedule. IQ-EQ specializes in providing comprehensive fund administration services to leading private equity clients globally. This Senior Manager position is pivotal for overseeing the intricate operations, detailed financial reporting, and crucial investor communications across multiple private equity funds. You will play a key role in ensuring client expectations are not just met but exceeded, driving operational excellence and fostering long-term relationships within a dynamic and experienced team.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Leadership: Lead client relationships across multiple private equity funds, ensuring expectations are met and timelines are followed.
• Fund Expertise: Apply understanding of limited partnership agreements to fund operations, reporting, and investor communications.
• Financial Management: Prepare and review key financial components including journal entries, capital calls, distributions, and performance metrics such as IRR.
• Operational Oversight: Manage audits, tax requests, and financial statement reviews while continuously improving operational processes.
• Team Development: Prioritize tasks, respond to client requests, and train junior team members to support team development and efficiency.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, providing a strong theoretical and practical foundation for managing complex financial and fund administration tasks.
• Experience: Over five years of progressive, hands-on experience gained within private equity, public accounting, or a combination of both, specifically within alternative asset firms, demonstrating a clear career progression in the field.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong analytical and technical proficiency across accounting, finance, and fund administration principles. You possess proven capabilities in consistently delivering exceptional client service, building trust, and applying your expertise to effectively support complex fund operations and achieve high-quality outcomes.
