The Tone:
This is a part-time internship at Tanner Health, located in Carrollton, GA. Tanner Health is a healthcare system dedicated to providing practical experience in healthcare administration to students. This role is designed to ensure a basic understanding of healthcare accounting for individuals pursuing a career in the field. The Accounting Intern will be exposed to a multitude of job duties within a supportive environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operate: Operate standard business machines as required for daily tasks.
• Maintain: Prepare and maintain comprehensive files, records, and documentation.
• Process: Work with detailed financial information, actively identifying errors that may not be easily detected.
• Utilize: Utilize computer applications such as Word and Excel for various accounting-related tasks.
• Manage: Prioritize assigned job duties effectively to meet frequent deadlines.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma or GED, currently enrolled as a rising junior in a college-level accounting or finance major with a minimum 3.2 GPA.
• Experience: No prior work experience is required for this role.
• Skills: Knowledge of basic principles and practices of accounting and financial analysis; ability to work with detailed information; proficiency with computer applications like Word and Excel.
• Bonus: Excellent customer service skills; a pleasant, professional demeanor and appearance; ability to perform consistently and maintain confidentiality.
