This is a seasonal, part-time internship at Bowers Accountants & Advisors, with locations in Syracuse, Rochester, Watertown, and Ithaca, New York. • Mission: Learn the audit process and develop accounting skills to support client services within the firm.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office Suite

What You’ll Actually Do
• Familiarize yourself with and learn accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures.
• Become familiar with and effectively utilize software specific to auditing tasks.
• Communicate regular status updates to managers and supervisors as required.
• Learn the comprehensive audit process, including information gathering, client follow-up, preparation, and completion.
• Strengthen your written and verbal communication skills when interacting with clients and colleagues.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Active enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program with a major in Accounting, Business, or Finance.
• Experience: Interest in pursuing a career in public accounting and meeting college requirements towards CPA eligibility.
• Skills: Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities, along with proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bonus: Junior standing or above in college is preferred.
