This role contributes to the accurate preparation, examination, and interpretation of accounting and financial records, ensuring compliance with company and GAAP policies.

• Mission: Owns the preparation, examination, and interpretation of accounting and financial records, reports, and statements, ensuring GAAP and company policy compliance.
• Tech Stack: Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis), ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Infor, Epicor, NetSuite)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounts Payable & Reconciliations: Coordinate accounts payable functions for plant operations and prepare bank reconciliations for operating, disbursement, payroll, and investment accounts.
• Journal Entries & Tax Filings: Prepare specific monthly journal entries, sales tax returns, and conduct warranty expense account analysis.
• Financial Analysis & Variances: Assemble plant expense analysis, report updates to staff, reconcile expenses to budget, and settle and close production orders while investigating variances.
• Auditing & Reporting: Provide internal financial audits and cycle count audits, issue reporting, and prepare trial balance analysis.
• Compliance & Support: Observe all procedures and policies in accordance with GAAP, company policy, and federal/state regulations, and assist as backup for payroll, daily invoicing, and sales updating.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Experience: Internship, co-op, or 1-2 years of accounting experience.
• Skills: Strong Excel skills including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
• Bonus: Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Infor, Epicor, or NetSuite, and manufacturing or inventory accounting exposure.
