The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Nordson Corporation. Nordson Corporation offers a Finance Leadership Development Program designed to prepare participants for roles of increasing responsibility across its finance organization. This program provides an outstanding opportunity to gain practical experience, develop a strong internal network, and interact directly with senior finance leaders. The TL;DR

• Mission: To prepare participants for roles of increasing responsibility within the finance organization through comprehensive rotational assignments and leadership development.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Completion: Successfully complete a structured two-year rotational program, which includes approximately four distinct assignments, with one assignment being a three-month international experience to broaden global perspectives.
• Functional Experience: Develop comprehensive working knowledge across various key finance functions, including General Accounting, Internal Audit, Cost Controlling, Commercial Finance, and Financial Planning & Analysis, with assignment lengths adjusted for business needs.
• Leadership Interaction: Actively engage with senior finance leaders through various opportunities and participate in key financial initiatives, gaining insight into strategic financial operations.
• Network Development: Cultivate a robust professional network throughout the entire two-year program, fostering strong relationships and quickly gaining credibility across the company.
• Career Placement: Collaborate with the program administrator to identify suitable post-program positions and interview across the finance organization, ensuring a smooth transition into a permanent role.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, with expected completion between December 2026 and June 2027, maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better. This is an early career role targeting individuals with a strong desire and motivation to become future leaders in finance.
• Experience: Possess related work or internship experience, demonstrating leadership skills through past experiences, internships, and extracurricular activities. Applicants must also have demonstrated experience with process improvement.
• Skills: Exhibit strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent interpersonal communication abilities and a strong presence in financial business partnering. A commitment to excellence and integrity, along with an aptitude to apply accounting and finance skills, is essential.
• Bonus: Ability to work independently and proactively, articulate ideas clearly both verbally and in writing, inspire and motivate others without formal authority, and demonstrate structured thinking and creativity in finding solutions. Candidates should also be comfortable analyzing data to guide decisions, quick to learn new concepts, aware of how businesses operate, and possess self-awareness, empathy, and the ability to build strong relationships. Familiarity with data analytics tools, project management software, or basic financial concepts is also preferred.
