Resource Development Intern | World Vision

The Tone:
This is a three-month internship at World Vision, located remotely within the US. World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to following Jesus Christ in service to the world’s most vulnerable children. VisionFund International, its microfinance arm, provides financial products and services to end intergenerational poverty and catalyze sustainable economic growth. This role supports VisionFund’s funding acquisition and management, ensuring resources are available to help communities thrive and children break free from poverty.

The TL;DR

• Pay: $800 monthly
• Team: Resource Development & Management team, responsible for VisionFund’s funding acquisition and management efforts.
• Mission: Raise funding for VisionFund’s strategic vision and build a diversified future funding portfolio.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Grant Writing: Carry out research to underpin grant proposals and assist with the writing and proofreading of institutional grant funding proposals.
• Funding Research: Conduct desk research and mapping to identify potential new institutional funders for VisionFund.
• Reporting Support: Provide significant assistance in reporting on the FAST (Finance Accelerating Savings Group Transformation) program.
• Data Analysis: Support efforts to deliver customized FAST reports for World Vision donors, including GSI mapping and impact stories.
• Team Coordination: Work closely with field teams and global center staff to ensure seamless communication and accurate report creation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Current student or recent graduate (within 2 years) from an undergraduate or graduate program in international development, monitoring & evaluation, data collection and management, English, communications, economics, marketing, public policy, finance, nonprofit management, or related fields. Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience: Legally authorized to work in the United States and able to commit to at least 20 hours per week for the entire internship period.
• Skills: Strong writing skills, eagerness to learn new skills and technologies (including GIS and the FAST product), curiosity for problem-solving, and cross-cultural communication abilities.
