Accounting Associate – CAAS Construction | CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen)

• Mission: Manage day-to-day and month-end accounting operations and financial reporting for construction industry clients.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Management: Handle the accounting needs for multiple clients, navigating different software systems and chart of accounts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Transaction Processing: Coordinate and accurately process daily financial transactions including accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and payroll.
• Financial Reporting: Complete comprehensive financial statements and perform various account reconciliations for month-end, such as bank, credit card, prepaids, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, and accruals.
• Complex Reconciliations: Complete complex account reconciliations that have been previously established and are supported by Senior Associates, Assistant Controllers, Controllers, or CFOs.
• Compliance Filings: Complete quarterly and annual tax-related forms, including sales tax returns and Form 1099s, as well as other items requested by clients.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is required for this entry-level professional role.
• Experience: Prior accounting and financial experience is preferred, showcasing foundational knowledge in the domain.
• Skills: Capability to manage multiple client accounts; proficiency in processing core financial transactions (AP, AR, payroll); competence in preparing financial statements and performing diverse account reconciliations.
• Bonus: A combination of related experience, education, and training may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
