Senior Manager, Program Management | L3Harris Technologies

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at L3Harris Technologies, located in Salt Lake City, UT. L3Harris is the Trusted Disruptor in defense tech, connecting space, air, land, sea, and cyber domains in the interest of national security through end-to-end technology solutions. This role is crucial for leading and overseeing all phases of program execution for Sonar Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) programs within the Maritime Sector. You will be instrumental in achieving key business results, including revenue recognition, operating income, free cash flow, and ensuring high customer satisfaction.

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Type: 9/80 – Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off

• Mission: Responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance management of Sonar MRO programs while achieving key business results and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Leadership: Direct all phases of programs from inception through completion for Sonar Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) initiatives.
• Business Performance: Drive program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs.
• Performance Management: Manage programs using Earned Value Management (EVM) while being responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of company programs.
• Customer Engagement: Act as the primary customer contact, leading program review sessions to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance, and working to expand the product line with the customer.
• Technical Oversight: Establish design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration, and test, alongside setting milestones and monitoring adherence to master plans and schedules.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience, or a Graduate degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of prior related experience is required. This role requires leadership of Sonar Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) programs supporting the Integrated Acoustic Sensors portfolio within the Maritime Sector.
• Experience: 10-16 years’ experience leading a highly visible portfolio, reporting directly to a site GM/executive. 10-16 years’ experience and demonstrated expert-level knowledge in leading a portfolio with reportable Earned Value. Experience with sustainment programs and obsolescence management, as well as with development, transition to production, and low-rate initial production programs.
• Skills: Demonstrated team-building, leadership, and communication skills, including building relationships of trust with teams, customers, peers, and leadership. Ability to communicate effectively and confidently, including through regular presentations and status updates to leadership. Expert-level knowledge in Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Bonus: Strong EQ, interpersonal skills, and the ability to quickly synthesize data and provide executive-level presentations. Proficiency in MS Project & Office. Prior experience as a Program Manager supporting an international customer and/or major prime contractor. Undersea systems experience. PMP certification.
