What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Reconciliation: Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
• Tax Preparation: Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, or other required tax returns.
• Tax Planning: Calculate tax extensions or estimate payments for clients.
• Client Engagement: Participate in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree is required for this Associate position. Candidates should be accounting students striving for CPA eligibility and possess solid technical accounting knowledge.
• Experience: No specific years of prior experience are required, but proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential. Candidates must also have reliable transportation to and from the assigned office and be able to attend off-site meetings and events in person.
• Skills: Effective time management, strong oral and written communication, ability to work well both independently and as part of a team, a problem-solving attitude, willingness to take initiative, close attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure and against deadlines. Candidates must maintain a minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.0, achieve a minimum grade of C or higher in job-relevant coursework, and a minimum grade of C or higher in intermediate accounting. Additionally, candidates must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in at least one U.S. State by the start date of the role.
• Bonus: Prior internships in a public accounting firm performing tax work are preferred.
