Summer 2027 Corporate Intern: Global Audit | Walmart

The Tone:
This is an 11-week paid internship at Walmart, located in Bentonville, AR. Walmart is a global retail corporation focused on delivering value to its customers and associates. This role within Global Audit Services is critical for identifying and mitigating financial, operational, and IT risks across the enterprise, directly contributing to the business’s strategic objectives and overall stability.

• Mission: To provide experiential learning in evaluating and controlling risk, delivering solutions to complex business issues, and driving the business forward.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Engagement: Put classroom theory to the test by working on real business issues related to finance, accounting, governance, IT, or operational risk.
• Project Management: Participate in the full life cycle of an audit project, from planning the engagement to writing the final audit report.
• Risk Evaluation: Develop a thorough understanding of how to evaluate and control risk within various business functions.
• Reporting: Deliver the results of audit projects to Senior Audit and Business leadership, recommending action plans to resolve identified issues.
• Collaboration: Manage key milestones and deliverables related to assigned internship projects, partnering with other associates to identify and present solutions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program, seeking an entry-level position within Global Audit Services.
• Experience: Expected to graduate between December 2027 and June 2028. Must not require sponsorship from Walmart for work authorization now or in the future.
• Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, time-management, and attention to detail.
• Bonus: Desired majors include Finance, Accounting, Business, Management Information Systems, or other relevant fields.
