This internship is located in Frisco, TX, and is crucial for supporting these comprehensive assurance services by executing detailed work plans and cultivating relationships both inside the firm and with clients.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare: Assist Staff and Seniors with the comprehensive preparation of engagement workpapers, ensuring all necessary components are accurate and organized for review.
• Document: Complete detailed workpaper documentation meticulously, adhering to both firm and industry standards to maintain integrity and compliance.
• Identify: Identify and effectively communicate areas of potential risk within the engagement team, applying basic accounting principles to inform audit decisions.
• Execute: Complete assigned sections of each engagement efficiently and accurately, ensuring adherence to budgeted parameters.
• Resolve: Address and resolve review notes completely and in a timely manner, integrating feedback to refine and finalize documentation.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an Entry-Level internship. Candidates must be in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or another related field, demonstrating a foundational understanding of relevant academic concepts.
• Experience: No specific years of experience are required. The role values individuals who have begun to master basic accounting concepts and can demonstrate inquisitiveness in their learning journey.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction; effective time management for working with changing priorities and deadlines; critical thinking and the ability to independently resolve challenges and issues as they arise; adaptability to a wide variety of projects; and the ability to travel to client locations both locally and occasionally out of state as needed.
• Bonus: An advisory mindset; proactive in seeking opportunities for improvement; enjoyment of working with entrepreneurial clients across diverse industries.
