What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage General Ledger Entries: Prepare, code, and record journal entries, including allocations and reclassifications, in the general ledger.
• Support Financial Closing: Assist in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Collaborate Across Accounting Functions: Work closely with A/R, A/P, Payroll, Master Data, Fixed Assets, and Lease Accountants as required.
• Perform Account Reconciliations: Prepare account reconciliation activities and review/analyze all general ledger accounts and trial balances.
• Maintain Internal Controls and Audit Support: Monitor and execute internal control procedures to ensure company assets are protected, provide audit support specific to general accounting, and assist in reviewing department expenses.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance, is required, alongside a thorough knowledge of basic accounting principles and a strong understanding of internal controls.
• Experience: Candidates must have 1-3 years of professional experience in an accounting background, demonstrating practical experience with accounting and financial systems, specifically Syteline ERP and HFM/OneStream Consolidation.
• Skills: Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite is essential, coupled with strong communication skills, the ability to effectively multitask while maintaining keen attention to detail, a proactive self-starter mentality, and a willingness to learn quickly and dive into new areas.
• Bonus: A CPA certification or an advanced degree is desired.
