Senior Project Manager – Revenue Cycle-Hybrid | Mayo Clinic

The Tone:
This is a hybrid position at Mayo Clinic, requiring the individual to be located within 100 miles of any Mayo Clinic campus for on-site expectations based on business needs. Mayo Clinic is a world-renowned healthcare organization that delivers high-quality patient care and research. This role is crucial for planning, directing, coordinating, and delivering major, complex, and business-critical projects, specifically within the Revenue Cycle, ensuring strategic objectives are met on time and within budget.

• Mission: Lead and deliver major, complex, and business-critical projects across the entire project life cycle, ensuring timely, budget-compliant, and methodology-adherent completion for Revenue Cycle initiatives.
• Tech Stack: Agile methodologies, Scrum processes

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Leadership: Lead project objectives and ensure completion on time, on budget, and in conformance to Mayo Clinic project management methodologies and standards.
• Budget Management: Manage established project budgets, including leading and providing direction in the development and tracking of project budgets with strict adherence to guidelines.
• Problem Solving & Decision Making: Independently lead problem-solving and decision-making activities within the project scope and change management process.
• Agile Coaching: Guide project teams on Agile practices and values, assessing team and organizational maturity, and coaching teams to higher levels at a sustainable pace.
• Impediment Removal: Remove impediments and blockers for the team, or guide the team to do so, escalating to management when appropriate to ensure project progress.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of experience in Project Management and business-related activities OR a Master’s degree with 7 years of experience in Project Management. Education preference includes project management, business administration, agile/scrum, and management.
• Experience: 10 years in Project Management and business-related activities (or 7 years with a Master’s degree), demonstrating competency in implementing project results and managing extensive, high-risk projects.
• Skills: Active (unexpired) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, advanced negotiation skills, strict budget management, independent problem-solving and decision-making, and application of Agile methodologies.
• Bonus: Revenue Cycle, Finance, or IT project management experience preferred. Certifications such as Certified Product Management, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Advanced Certified Scrum Master (A-CSM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner, Risk Management Professional (RMP), and/or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP).
