The TL;DR

• Pay: $65000–$70000 yearly
• Team: Reports directly to the Controller
• Mission: Perform entry-level accounting functions, including reconciling and analyzing various balance sheet accounts to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Access, LN or other ERP systems

What You’ll Actually Do
• Account Reconciliation: Prepare and review account analyses and reconciliations, including creating and entering journal entries for month-end and year-end close.
• Financial Reporting Support: Create monthly workpapers to support Balance Sheet ending balances and assist with year-end audit preparations.
• Transaction Documentation: Research and document various accounting transactions, ensuring a clear understanding of process flows.
• Accounts Payable & Budgeting: Perform Accounts Payable Vendor GL Coding and contribute to budget work by setting up costs for the new year.
• Asset Management: Manage inventory through cycle count creation and system updates, and maintain fixed asset records by keeping copies of purchase invoices.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and 1-3 years of related experience and training. It is an early career position, seeking individuals with a working knowledge of standard accounting principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
• Experience: Candidates should bring 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally gained within a manufacturing environment.
• Skills: You must possess a strong math aptitude, the ability to work accurately with numbers, and excellent organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required. The role demands strong analytical ability, a thorough understanding of computer systems and accounting principles, and the ability to operate standard office equipment efficiently. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a strong team-player mindset to interface effectively with all levels.
• Bonus: Knowledge of Microsoft Access or prior experience with LN or other ERP systems is considered a plus.
