What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage: Own full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of small business clients, including AP, AR, payroll coordination, bank and credit card reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Report: Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly financial statements with clear, plain-English commentary for clients.
• Advise: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building trusted advisor relationships, and providing advisory support on cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and KPI tracking.
• Improve: Identify process improvements and help clients clean up or optimize their accounting systems and workflows.
• Review: Review work prepared by staff accountants or bookkeepers and provide constructive feedback.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Mid-level professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 3 years of full-cycle accounting experience, including managing books from transaction level through financial statement delivery, with a preference for public accounting, outsourced accounting, or Client Accounting Services (CAS) backgrounds.
• Skills: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
• Bonus: CPA or actively pursuing CPA, 1+ year of remote work experience, and experience working with service-based business clients.
