Finance Manager (Petaling Jaya) | CBRE

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at CBRE, located in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. This role is crucial in managing the financial strategy and operations, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to support CBRE’s global business functions.

• Mission: To maintain accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls while managing financial strategy and operations processes for the organization.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Supervision: Provide formal supervision to employees, overseeing their training, development, performance evaluations, and the recruiting and hiring of new staff.
• Team Management: Coordinate and manage the team’s daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff, offering mentorship and coaching as needed.
• Financial Process Oversight: Oversee the budgeting process, forecasting process, strategic planning process, and standard management reporting.
• Financial Review & Approval: Review balance sheet account analysis, statements of cash flows, supporting schedules, and standard consolidated reporting packs for accuracy, and approve basic monthly journal entries.
• Reporting & Policy Development: Produce a variety of routine and ad hoc financial reports, packages, and pro forma analyses for senior management and coordinate the research, development, and preparation of accounting policy and procedures.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Managerial role with a Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of experience and education, focused on maintaining accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls.
• Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Skills: In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook); extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset; intermediate math skills for calculating percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
• Bonus: Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention.
