Senior Operations Analyst, Revenue Cycle | Mayo Clinic

The Tone:
This is a hybrid role at Mayo Clinic, located within 100 miles of a Mayo Clinic campus for occasional on-site expectations. Mayo Clinic is a leading healthcare provider focused on patient care, research, and education. This position serves a critical function within the Enterprise Revenue Cycle, specifically supporting the Transplant Billing and Follow Up team, by managing large projects and analyzing processes to ensure efficiency, compliance, and financial integrity for the organization.

• Team: Transplant Billing and Follow Up team within the Enterprise Revenue Cycle
• Mission: To plan, manage, and analyze large-scale revenue cycle projects, processes, and systems to ensure financial effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance for Mayo Clinic.
• Tech Stack: Physician and hospital billing systems, revenue cycle systems

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Management: Plan and manage large projects, coordinating resources to implement new systems, programs, and processes within the Enterprise Revenue Cycle.
• Business Analysis: Conduct and facilitate complex business analysis for large process, quality, and improvement projects across Mayo Clinic’s group practices and Mayo Health System.
• Process Design: Analyze, design, and redesign processes, workflow, and systems to ensure quality, effectiveness, and efficiency, identifying resource impact and managing implementation.
• Leadership: Lead effective meetings, workgroups, and committees, facilitating negotiations to resolve issues with participants throughout Mayo Clinic.
• Collaboration: Interact collaboratively with various departments and external vendors as a subject matter expert to support and direct activities, resolve issues, and ensure compliance.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of relevant experience in Finance, Revenue Cycle, or Healthcare. This is a senior-level position.
• Experience: 10 years of relevant experience, with required knowledge and experience in Project Management.
• Skills: Project management, business analysis, process design and redesign, leadership, problem-solving, understanding of operations, systems, regulations, and clinical practice.
• Bonus: Master’s degree preferred, previous healthcare experience preferred, extensive knowledge of physician and hospital billing systems for various payers preferred, and HFMA Certification preferred.
