Logistics Coordinator | Jabil

The Tone:

The Logistics Coordinator supports critical logistics operations through process development, system support, and carrier coordination. This role is essential for ensuring efficient material flow and on-time delivery, directly impacting manufacturing operations and overall business success.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Coordinate Shipments: Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to support production and customer requirements, including managing delayed or at-risk shipments and evaluating transportation service levels.
• Manage External Relationships: Maintain regular communication with domestic and international carriers, freight providers, and customs brokers to ensure service expectations are met, and assist with import/export activities and customs clearance issues.
• Provide System Expertise: Serve as the functional expert for logistics-related systems and tools, offering end-user support, troubleshooting, coordinating training, and communicating system updates and enhancements.
• Drive Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes, systems, and operational efficiency, including gathering business requirements for system enhancements and developing process documentation.
• Oversee Freight Finances: Approve inbound and outbound freight invoices, perform monthly freight cost allocations, and review commercial invoices for accuracy and compliance.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or a related operational environment, with specific experience coordinating inbound and outbound freight movements, working with domestic and international import/export carriers, and supporting customs clearance activities and transportation providers.
• Skills: Knowledge of logistics operations, transportation processes, and supply chain principles; understanding of import/export regulations, shipping documentation, and customs processes; strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills; ability to troubleshoot logistics and transportation issues; strong communication skills for interacting with various stakeholders; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and business systems.
• Bonus: Experience supporting manufacturing or high-volume production environments; knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP; professional certifications in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management; experience with freight auditing, carrier management, and transportation cost analysis.
