2027 Global Finance & Business Management – Summer Analyst | JPMorganChase

The Tone:
This is a summer internship at JPMorganChase, located in the New York Metro area, including Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Jersey City. JPMorganChase is one of the oldest financial institutions, offering financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses, and prominent corporate clients globally. The Global Finance & Business Management team continually improves business operations strategically, financially, and operationally by combining financial expertise with advancing technologies. This role offers the opportunity to influence and shape key decisions and initiatives across the firm.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Influence Decisions: Collaborate with professionals to influence and shape key decisions, initiatives, and outcomes that support various businesses across the firm.
• Manage Risk & Optimize: Act as a trusted advisor to business heads by identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks while optimizing performance through data-driven insights.
• Ensure Financial Integrity: Perform critical reporting and controls functions, including legal entity, financial, and regulatory reporting, to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial statements.
• Analyze & Report: Create meaningful financial analysis, reporting, and insights to support business strategy, coordinating on budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
• Support Initiatives: Contribute to cross-line-of-business or firmwide priorities, including new regulations and policies, by tracking progress and analyzing outcomes across project lifecycles.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing a B.A., B.S., or 5th-year M.A. or M.S., with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or June 2028, with an interest in financial management, analytics, and data.
• Experience: Relevant internship experience and demonstrated leadership in academic or community organizations.
• Skills: Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; data-driven critical thinking; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Bonus: Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale; working knowledge of data analytics and visualization tools (such as Tableau, Alteryx, Python); intermediate Excel skills (Vlookup, Pivot Tables, Index Match).
