The TL;DR

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and post journal entries specifically for various assigned subsidiaries to ensure the accurate and timely generation of monthly financial statements, including comprehensive income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Account Reconciliation and Resolution: Prepare detailed account reconciliations for bank, credit card, and other general ledger accounts, diligently investigating and resolving any identified accounting discrepancies or variances.
• Process Development for Acquisitions: Play a key role in developing essential accounting processes and establishing the financial framework for recently-acquired businesses, ensuring their smooth integration into Unifi Healthcare’s operations.
• Functional Support and Data Gathering: Provide necessary support to both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, and assist with gathering crucial financial data required for reviews, tax preparations, and all mandated filings.
• Team Collaboration and Audit Assistance: Collaborate effectively with team members and management to foster an environment of trust and productivity, while actively supporting external audits and tax filings by providing all requested documentation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field, demonstrating a solid foundation in accounting theory.
• Experience: 2-5 years of accounting experience is preferred for this role.
• Skills: Essential skills include proficiency and advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel, specifically with pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and advanced formulas; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; a high level of organization and detail-orientation; the capacity to work under minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks effectively to meet deadlines; and the discretion to handle confidential information.
• Bonus: Preferred qualifications include knowledge of accounting theory and experience applying GAAP within a healthcare setting, as well as experience with Ramp, Brightree, and/or NetSuite.
