Entry-Level Rotational Program – Finance Operations | General Motors

The Tone:
This is a full-time, early career role at General Motors, located in Warren, MI with a hybrid work arrangement. General Motors is a global organization dedicated to designing, building, and selling the world’s best vehicles and associated services. This rotational program is crucial for developing well-rounded Financial Analysts who can drive positive change and contribute to the company’s ultimate vision of Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions, and Zero Congestion.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Participation: Engage in the TRACK rotational program, designed to deliver a breadth of experience across multiple operating finance functions.
• Skill Development: Build an exceptional financial skillset through a truly immersive experience, gaining expertise in various finance areas.
• Experiential Learning: Gain practical experience within potential rotations such as Sales and Marketing, Product Development, Purchasing & Supply Chain, Customer Care & Aftersales, and Manufacturing.
• Professional Mentorship: Work with advisors and mentors to support personal growth and professional development within the organization.
• Strategic Contribution: Support GM’s mission by helping to optimize current operations and developing strategies and business plans to drive the company’s future goals.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields. This is an entry-level role.
• Experience: Must be graduating between December 2026 and June 2027 and able to work full-time (40 hours per week).
• Skills: Understanding of common financial metrics (e.g., ROI, NPV, IRR), data analysis, learning agility, creative solutioning, problem-solving, ability to analyze financial statements (e.g., balance sheets, income statements, cash flows, capital structures), Excel, modeling, and financial valuation skills.
• Bonus: Demonstrated leadership in field of study, extra-curricular activities, or service organizations; ability to collaborate with diverse teams including cross-functional partners; effective communication skills; high level of integrity, persistence, accountability, and trust; ability to deal with ambiguity and take action; and ability to prioritize and meet goals in a fast-paced environment.
